Many people enter into counseling after something has happened in their life such as a death of a loved one, relationship issues, feelings of depression or a want for change, and they need to talk about it with a neutral party. Like any relationship, you and your therapist need to have right “fit”.
Our first session will determine if we are a good "fit" for each other. During a short phone assessment, I will make sure that your issues are appropriate for my practice, will take your insurance information and schedule our first session. Therapy is a tool to help you move forward so it is very important that you trust me and feel comfortable sharing with me. If you do not feel that I am the right therapist for you, I will make every effort to connect you to another local therapist.
My hours vary but are generally in the evenings Monday through Thursday. I typically do not have weekend appointments. We will work together to find a time that works best.
Appointments by email are responded to more quickly. Generally phone calls are returned within 24 hours Monday-Friday.
